Despite the way it feels, losing weight isn’t a mysterious process as it sounds. It’s a simple matter of burning more calories than you eat. But, if it were really, really that simple, none of us would have a weight problem, would we? Weight loss can be such a struggle and frustrating process that some people have went to there death bed never,ever being able to control there weight problem. We start thinking we have to do something drastic to see results — diets, pills or those weird fitness gadgets on infomercials that promise instant success ( which Fail ). The true secret to losing weight is this: Make small changes each and every day and you’ll lose those extra pounds Qucikly and effectively.

The rules of burning fat are To lose one pound of fat, you must burn approximately 3500 calories over and above what you already burn doing daily activities i.e going to the shop, taking the dog for a walk etc etc. That sounds like a lot of calories and you certainly wouldn’t want to try to burn 3500 calories in one day that would require alot of hard work. However, by taking it step-by-step, you can determine just what you need to do each day to burn or cut out those extra calories. Below is a step by step process for making the first step to losing your weight.

The first thing you have to do is calculate your BMR i.e. your Basic Mteabolic Rate. Your BMR is what your body must have to maintain its normal daily functions like digesting your food and also your breathing. Take note that this is also the least amount of calories that you have to eat each new day. Just remember that no calculater will be completely accurate so you quite possibly might have to adjust these numbers as you go along.

The next thing you want to do is Calculate your activity level. Use a calorie calculator to figure out how many calories you burn while sitting, standing, exercising, lifting weights, taking the dog for a walk etc. throughout each and every new day. If you’re burning more than you eat, you’ll lose weight quickly and effectively if you keep it up, Fact.

Here is a basic example of what you can eat on a daily basis.

Instead of having a fizzy drink such as cola replace it with a glass of water. For each and every time you do this you will save 97 calories. Aslo instead of eating a egg mcmuffin meal for lunch you could eat a whole meal bagel with turkey and with it a bottle of water and save a combined total of 282 calories. This information is just the basic start on your quest for the new you.
