Healing Touch is as old as mankind. All we instinctively calm rubbing painful areas of your body with your hands. Also inherent in every one of us is the ability to touch others in an intuitive way to help them heal. These various aspects of knowledge are the primary source of the healing arts of acupressure and flow of acupuncture. It has also led to the invention of tens units, small devices that emit electrical signals to block signals pain.
In China, careful observation and practice of this intuitive touch has occurred for thousands of years of recorded medical history. It has led to many discoveries about particular points in the body and how it can be stimulated to relieve pain or to improve the functioning of the various physical and systems mental. Countless practitioners and theorists have refined and codified this information. This process has led to the development of Eastern medical theories to explain processes of life, health and illness, and specific methods of treatment.
Intrinsic to these theories of medicine is the concept equilibrium. Is the body's balance system that defines health and disease. This is an idea to attend the Western and Eastern medical philosophy.
