My first yoga retreat
I never wanted to stop. It was a wonderful feeling of joy, love and compassion to all who were there with me. This despite the fact that I had only seen these people just three days. But at that moment I felt as if he had known all my life.
This yoga retreat was my first. Four days of total immersion in the practice, philosophy and life of hatha yoga. We practiced yoga twice a day. Passed several hours sitting and walking meditation and learned about the philosophy of yoga through talks and discussions.
We helped prepare and eat vegetarian food Homemade delicious. I was in a high energy. I had much resistance. It was the best sleep he had ever had.
So why did effect me so deeply?
Our subtle energy body
Yoga works on our bodies and minds at many levels, and so that traditional medicine fails. Infact, many alternative therapies and practices that have become so popular, work on our mind and body in a powerful way.
It is possible they do not realize, but his body has a network of invisible energy channels. Follow the pathways of our nervous system and provide a steady supply of subtle energy keeps us alive.

Lao Tse, the revered Chinese sage and chi kung master, said,

It is this hidden power system that keeps us alive, vibrant and healthy.
Shiatsu acupressure and acupuncture
The study of our energy bodies can be seen in shiatsu, acupressure and acupuncture. These are just three of the many practices that originate from the East.
Shiatsu is a full body massage taken lying on a futon. But more than just massage. Much of your body are pressed and massaged into the subtle energy lines meet. The effect is both exhilarating and relaxing at the same time. My first massage was so good that I fell asleep.
Acupuncture is a healing system that is accepted by the Western medical community as it works. Needles are inserted so they connect with the energy channels in your body. By placing the needles at the right points of its energy and health is both rebalanced and restored.
The ancient art of yoga
Yoga, stretching and pilates is about exercising their muscles and ligaments, but more than that. Gentle stretching of the muscles releases trapped energy and energises the muscles and ligaments that attitude is working.
Yoga involves stretching into a pose and holding the position that is breathed in or out deeply and completely. There dynamics of this apparent stillness. It is possible that holding the position, but his deep breathing is moving energy and refreshes the parts of your body does not exercise another can achieve.
