As a person who suffers from anxiety and panic attacks I've tried almost all forms of exclusive treatment of psychotropic drugs to help eliminate my seizures panic. If you suffer from panic disorder, then we are both members of a group numbering in the millions, who have fought this demon health and are determined to find a solution.
Recently, I tried acupuncture after a panic attack left me out of control as it headed my wife's home business on a freeway in Los Angeles. Luckily for me the offices in a health resort and a wonderful doctor of Chinese medicine and acupuncture offered to help me literally on the spot.
practitioners of Chinese medicine believes that stress, anxiety, depression or any strong emotion interrupts the flow of energy throughout the body.
According to Chinese medical theory, anxiety blocks the free flow of energy through of our body. This is thought to be a cause of muscle pain in areas such as back and neck where energy is being blocked. The research in the field of acupuncture has determined that there are points in the ear associated with anxiety. Treatment of ear acupuncture to eliminate the anxiety that is known as Auricular Acupuncture
To determine the effectiveness of this type of acupuncture to help reduce anxiety, two researchers from the Yale University School of Medicine – Drs. Wang and Kain – brought together a group of patients for a trial.
They found that people who received acupuncture has reduced the anxiety that can help patients concerned about an upcoming surgery.
The Western medical professionals also believe that acupuncture can eliminate anxiety for the release murderers of your body's natural pain or endorphins.
Acupuncture may also help relax the muscles without prescription medication to improve blood circulation, lower heart rate and blood pressure
My empirical experience with auricular acupuncture
In the first acupuncture appointment the acupuncturist put needles into specific points on the ear, which remained for a week, reducing anxiety almost completely. This was followed auricular acupuncture with total body treatments and acupuncture after three sessions I found that causes the least anxiety that I was worried before he disappeared.
Chinese herbs as an adjunct to Acupuncture Therapy
The acupuncturist, was also a practitioner of Chinese medicine and gave me a combination combinations of herbs after a few weeks of treatments to help my body regain natural balance, physiologically healthy. If you try this approach, the physician Chinese medicine may be able to recommend some herbs for you based on your specific case.
In conclusion, my experiences with acupuncture therapy for reduce anxiety have been an extraordinary success and still enjoy the cumulative effects of additional acupuncture treatments for this day.
