Every singer, no matter how careful you are your instrument, have moments where they have encouraged a bit too much for his team, or had three weeks of cold and flu and feel plain vocally awful.
Here are some tips that will take him back to health and ensure complete healing of his voice. The key is to reduce the trauma of the strings and create a throat environment that is comfortable for you.
1. ALWAYS drink water. Especially when a cold is coming, the strength of 8-12 glasses (about a pint) in 24 hours and have a shorter recovery time. It is a prophecy self-fulfilling prophecy: sing loud to blow their strings = sound muddy and uncomfortable, swollen, the strains of "slimy." Nobody likes to feel like when they sing!
3. Avoid ice. It constricts the chords.
4. Avoid alcohol. It robs the body of water, swells and ropes. Dry swollen chords are the worst. Do not.
5. Use a steam inhaler, especially if your upper bronchial tree is congested. This will help keep the roads open for breathing and in turn keep your cords clear of phlegm that would otherwise dangerous kick up their chords.
6. Pills are good. I recommend Ricola and Slippery elm lozenges. Do not use Mentholyptus rooms when you have to sing. They are too strong and drying. You just want to lubricate the strings and calm. These two products do very well. You also Black currant pills can try if you are allergic to the mint in Ricola.
7. VOICE REST. Shut up. Write notes. Play more. Nods. Search options ways to communicate. Make it fun, but do not talk about everything!
8. No whispering. If you have to talk, they do on a regular basis that can handle voice.
9. No throat clearing. All this does is hit the ropes together. Take a deep breath in over your strings, and a yawn to break the tension throat. You will find the need to clear your throat will decrease when the habit of deep breathing instead of clearing the throat.
10. Do not smoke. Do you like your voice? Do not smoke. Period.
11. Avoid food 3-4 hours before bedtime. There are many reasons for this. When digested in their sleep, sometimes stomach acid rose in your throat and makes some minor to major burning. Your chords need to heal and calmed down 24-7 after an illness. The night account.
12. Try to eat soft, not strong spices. For the same reason as above.
13. Elevate your head when you sleep. If you use 2-3 pillows, liquid drains away from your chords more easily. Breathing will be easier and you will feel the urge to cough less.
14. Use a nasal wash daily. Find one of the following for daytime use: AYR, nasal or Salinex. These are sprays that can be used in each nostril 3-6 times daily. Used regularly, helps to keep healthy.
15. Waste no time. If you've been to a doctor and he or she has been diagnosed with nodules or lesions on his vocal, seek help immediately. Speech therapy is necessary to save his voice. If you need help finding a speech therapist, please contact me on my website and direct you.
