Acupuncture is a technique whereby the insertion of needles into specific body points to reduce pain and increase the body's own ability to heal itself. Like several other alternative medicines, acupuncture has not been readily accepted in Western culture. Has begun to be more recognizable in the past three decades.
Acupuncture originated in China thousands of years ago. Acupuncture, like many other Chinese medicines are based on the principles of medicine China Traditional (MTC). Traditional Chinese medicine considers the body as a whole composed of various system functions. The organs are divided into two systems called the yin organs solids and the yang, the hollow organs. The balance between these two systems are easily disturbed and can be blocked or stagnant cause disease. Qi, known as bodies vital energy and blood flow through the systems of the body called meridians. Acupuncture points are placed along the meridians of the body and that when the qi and blood becomes latent Acupuncture Needles can release the deadlock and restore the body to balance.
Acupuncture is to balance or rebalance the body of qi. So whenever there are signs of imbalance, such as pain, pain, illness, or injury, acupuncture is the treatment prescribed. Acupuncture treats a variety of diseases and disorders such as headaches, migraines, back pain, whiplash, colds, flu, premenstrual syndrome, tendinitis, arthritis, etc.
A traditional acupuncturist uses four methods of diagnosis, inspection, auscultation and olfaction, inquiring, and palpation. Inspection examines the face and tongue. Traditional Chinese medicine considers that the language contains valuable clues to the imbalance in the body. The shape, size, voltage, the color and coating of the tongue, all correspond to specific imbalances. Auscultation and olfaction refer to hear and smell the sounds and smells of the body. Inquiring requires the acupuncturist to seven questions on symptoms of the individual. These include fever and chills, sweating, loss of appetite, thirst and taste defecation and urination, pain, sleep, menstruation and leucorrhoea. Lastly palpation exam of the body refers to the tenderness and pulse pressure pulses radio.
Once it has been recommended acupuncture, the acupuncturist to determine the pressure points that puncture.
