Following a clean diet provides the most nutrition per calorie, and will not cause adverse health effects is key to good health. The saying "you what you eat "is so true. In short, what you eat the body uses, change or shops. I challenge you to find a diet that has more nutrients and fewer adverse effects health, and if everyone is honest, you will not find one. A vegetarian diet devoid of protein, essential amino acids, healthy fats, especially omega-3. I used to be a vegan … did not last long because I felt like crap and I was hungry every 2 hours. I used to be a fish-ovo-vegetarian … close but do not eat meat enough and I ate too much grain … I was hungry every two hours and I had a nap in the middle of the day.
I grew up in the typical American diet … hot dogs, hamburgers, macaroni and cheese home mom, and junk food. I did not know how good I felt until I started eating Paleo. The purpose of our food is to provide energy and nutrition for optimal health and function, not to make us sick. I ask you to ask these questions: Does your diet cause your body look good? Does your diet gives you energy and make you feel fantastic? In your exercise program makes you a better performance, you can go more and more difficult? If the answer to all these questions is not yet, I dare to try the Paleo diet for a month and see if the Paleo Diet does not make you answer yes to all these questions.
Because they are genetically the same people as were thousands of years living in a modern world, there are things that are environmentally exposed to our ancestors were not. For example, in our air is polluting the environment. Our food is injected with synthetic hormones, chemicals and antibiotics. When we are sick, we are fed drugs that in some cases, save lives, not treat the cause and often are given to mask the symptoms. When the body experiences the symptoms, is a cry for help.
The food you eat affects your health in many different ways. Examples: Eating for many high glycemic foods blood insulin = high disease =. Acid forming foods acidic blood calcium = = leaching from the bones to balance the pH of blood = disease (especially osteoporosis). Taking a drug for a disease = overload your liver with toxins = more disease. In our modern world is very different paths to diseases that were not concerns of our ancestors, and their concerns of being eaten by predators are not a concern of ours.
So how I can live a life of prevention?
Adopt a Paleo diet – which means avoiding all sugar (even honey from time to time is fine), grains, milk, beans and pulses, and alcoholic beverages. Make sure it's okay to follow the paleo diet is balanced with acid-producing foods alkaline-producing foods. (Meat and everything else = fruit acids, alkalis and vegetables =). Be careful with the intake of drugs and antibiotics. Consider the possibility of a natural alternative if there is one. Make a candida cleansing if you think you have yeast overgrowth. If you have ever taken antibiotics in life and does not replace the natural flora with probiotics, which have a yeast overgrowth.
Try to induce a deep sweat once or twice a week preferably with an infrared sauna, sauna, hot coals, or at home sitting in the bath for 30 minutes in water as hot as you can stand it. Sure that they are well hydrated before you sweat! Consider intermittent fasting to give your digestive system a rest and to reset your metabolism. This has been demonstrated to increase their longevity. Look up! Supplement your diet with digestive enzymes, probiotics, and a charge of high quality acai Get daily exercise – move somehow! I recommend CrossFit and Yoga. Pilates, walking, even just going to the gym to do something. Find something you both want to stay with her. Keep your body flexible with a daily program of stretching or yoga.
Use massage therapy when minor aches and pains pop-up – you do not want to worsen and cause problems chronic. Get a chiropractic adjustment once a month. It is not just your bones and muscles, which keeps the nervous system functioning optimally, obtaining acupuncture once a month to maintain their free energy pathways can improve their physical, mental and emotional.
Take a good look at your lifestyle. I have had many people tell me to live a "healthy living" or "eat healthy" when in reality, everyone has a different definition of health. To me, healthy is not just the absence of disease, wellness and fitness. Living a life of health and fitness is prevention.
