Massage therapy has been known to have special healing properties, but no one is sure why. A massage treatment can be a very therapeutic experience, and one of the fastest growing and most popular treatments is the therapy of hot stone massage.
The magical healing properties of hot stone therapy have been known by many cultures for hundreds of years. But it is just in recent years that this form of massage is deeply relaxing beginning to become popular again. It is in popular demand among many of the resorts that are found throughout the world.
Healing therapy stone massage inspired healing practices for Kokon Lake in Tibet. Hot stone is used in combination with herbs and oils to restore vitality and balance the body's stress. The treatment involves the use of smooth stones, basalt found in volcanic regions in Europe. Chi Spa Manager Mary Yip said: "Basalt has been found the best heat retention capabilities, therefore, the best for therapeutic purposes. "The stones can keep warm for a long time and therefore it is not necessary reheat during the procedure. Its smooth texture is also ideal for soothing, gliding, massage movements.
During a therapy session hot stone massage, the therapist starts out by combining the therapeutic effects of essential oils with a Swedish massage. The therapist runs his fingers by the shoulders and down their arms at their disposal, and movement of her neck down her spine to the lower back.
Then, the therapist uses heated basalt stones to massage the back and down your legs. The softness of the stone glides easily over the body and promotes deep relaxation state.
Finally, the therapist places stones of various sizes of the Himalayas in the body's chakra points. This serves to warm the body, stimulate lymphatic flow, and therefore the elimination of waste from the body. According to ancient Chinese and Himalayan ritual, chakra points are the body's energy centers. When stimulated, chakras encourage balanced energy flow throughout the body, which helps reduce muscle pain, promote healing, relieve stress and provide relaxation deep.
