If you suffer from chronic pain? If so, you may wonder what type of health professional's license can help. If you're like many people in your situation, you may already have tried pain medication, or you may be using prescription pain relievers that only a little. You may be suffering from side effects as a result of these drugs or the need to increase the dose as you become immune to the effects of analgesics. Unfortunately, this is the experience of many who take drugs for pain. For some, it becomes so severe that they become addicted to painkillers and must enter into a rehabilitation center to stop taking them.

As result, more and more people are turning to other medical treatment options. Studies show that many people have experienced long-term relief or even permanent pain, range of motion, and reduced stress of alternative treatments.

Massage

Massage therapy works to relieve tension and constriction in the muscles out of the body. If the cause of pain is temporary muscle stiffness, you will experience relief. Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese medicine teaches that there are four levels of vital energy, called Qi (pronounced "chee"). While acupressure and massage therapy to work only in the first of four levels, acupuncture can heal the body at all four levels. This is because both acupuncture (As well as Chinese herbs) works more specifically to heal and balance exactly what the body needs. Working in the physical, mental levels and emotional at the same time.

One of the most convincing studies on acupuncture for treatment of pain was conducted at the University of Sheffield in England and published in 2006. 241 patients participated, and even a short course of acupuncture has long-term effects on pain of many patients. Most just ten treatments over a three-month period, and reported experiencing less pain than before even two years after treatment had stopped. Many of them reported that are no longer needed pain medication.

A study conducted in Beijing, China in 1994 reported that 98.3% of the 56 patients in the study experienced substantial relief of chronic low back pain.

Unfortunately, acupuncture is often the last resort for people. Massage therapists treat their medical family, analgesics, muscle relaxants, chiropractors, physical therapists, hypnotherapists, and even before trying acupuncture. This is sometimes due to fear of needles, since they do not realize that the needles are inserted superficially in the skin that are usually barely felt. If there is any pain at all, is very small.

As a result of fear or lack of understanding of the effectiveness of acupuncture, people with chronic pain often feel trapped in despair for years. In one example, a client presents with chronic pain after open heart surgery. He thought there was nothing I could do to alleviate their suffering for having tried almost everything. When I finally tried acupuncture, he found the relief they had not thought possible.

Acupuncture combined with other treatments

Of course, acupuncture treatments along with massage therapy, nutritional counseling, and Chinese herbs are a great combination. They work well together to help the body in balance and healing. China along with other herbs to treat health problems that may be contributing to the pain condition, and nutritional suggestions of a knowledgeable professional, you have the opportunity to potentially alleviate the pain completely.

While massage can treat muscle pain, acupuncture and Chinese herbs can also treat other conditions that can cause or contribute to pain, such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, menstrual cramps and premenstrual syndrome, migraines, IBS, TMJ, and more.

Therefore, for best results, choose a doctor who is versed in herbal medicine and nutrition, and acupuncture.
