According to those who practice and believe in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), acupuncture is an effective method of treatment for acne. This is because acupuncture is said to be an effective means to restore balance in a human body, cure all diseases caused by a specific imbalance, such as skin problems acne and others.

The principle behind acupuncture is that the body is composed of certain meridians (lines) and pressure points. When a disease yin and yang (hot and cold side of things) is not balanced, causing physical manifestations such as acne. To restore the proper balance, certain pressure points or acupuncture points along a line is inserted with a needle. Once the needles are inserted into the right areas, the low energy output a little back on balance, the elimination of the disease in the process.
