Acupressure is an ancient healing technique using the fingers (as opposed to needles) to stimulate acupuncture points. It is used for preservation general health and self-treatment of disease. The 7 key acupressure points outlined below effectively stimulate the body's natural capacity for self-healing.

Acupressure is best known for its ability to alleviate physical pain. On issues such as headaches and back pain, acupressure is extremely effective. For reasons of emotional pain, the positive effects of acupressure is just starting to get the attention they deserve.

In addition to its applications for pain, acupuncture points have been used as a beauty treatment for thousands of years. Beauty acupressure treatment improves muscle tone, relieves stress and increases circulation.

There are 7 key acupressure points that all women should be encouraged daily to the general emotional health and beauty of long duration;

1. Zu San Li – alleviates concern, sadness, excessive thinking and leading to deep wrinkles on the forehead, digestive distress, headaches and fatigue. The Zu San Li point is 3 inches below the kneecap, and one finger breadth lateral to the shinbone.

2. Tai Chong – Alleviates anger, irritability and impatience that leads to permanent furrows between the eyebrows, acne, irregular, PMS, and menstrual cycles. Chong Tai point is between the big toe and second toe foot, approx. 1 inch inward from the mesh at the top of the foot.

3. San Yin Jiao – Releasing all fear, anger, and concerns related emotions. These emotions will ultimately deprive the holder of a full life. It can also cause urinary problems, high blood pressure and thyroid disorders, only to name a few. The San Yin Jiao point is 3 inches above the inner ankle bone, just behind the shin bone.

4. Yang Ling Quan – Relieves shyness and help in making decisions. The classic 'hunch-back "may be the result of not taking charge of your life. This acupressure point should always be used if the physical pain is present. Yang Ling Quan point is just below the patella, between the head of the fibula bone (on the outside of the leg) and the shin bone.

5. Nei Guan – relieves anxiety, shallow breathing, and stress leads to palpitations, circulatory problems, and stress neck. Nei Guan point is located inside of the wrist, 2 inches from the crease of the wrist (towards the elbow) and the two main tendons can be felt in the middle of the arm.

6. That lie – Relieves sadness, pain and depression. The magnetic dynamic aspect of a woman who suffers most of these emotional issues. Poor posture, breathing problems, and various skin conditions can be prevented with the use of this point. That point is lying on the thumb side of wrist next to the head of the radius bone (just below the thumb) of approximately 1 cm from the crease of the wrist (towards the elbow).

7. He Gu – This item can be used for any type of emotional stress. It is very important to the health of the facial muscles and skin. It is also effective in relieving menstrual pain and problems with the large intestine. He Gu point is in the muscle between the thumb and index finger.

When administered to these acupressure points, use sufficient pressure that there is a slight discomfort but no pain. Apply this pressure for 20-30 seconds at each point, 2 times a day. Note that the above are on both sides.
