You should not wake up in the morning feeling like you have moved furniture all night. But that is what it is for me. Each joint is stiff and sore. I lay in bed and stretch several times to relax before I dare try to walk. The path to the bathroom is lined with furniture and walls I can use for stability and support.

I love to pet my dog, but my arm gets tired after a few minutes. It feels like there is lead in my muscles.

I'm so tired all the time. But lying is the most frustrating thing you can do during the day because my legs is the perfect time to run the track. They tightened and the only thing that relieves the feeling of tension is to move.

I have two beautiful granddaughters who want to play with, but I can not take anymore, I'm not enough strong. All the things I loved doing, dancing, knitting, helping to coach the softball team my youngest daughter, everything is gone now. My family is angry with me because I I can not do things with them like once.

After years of doctor appointments and said: "It's all in your head, probably related with stress, "I was angry. It is not" all in my head "the pain is too real. How could swollen joints be" all in my head ?

My oldest daughter is a doctor for the military, she knows me. I do not complain much, and she knows I would not take this to her unless it's real. I emailed in Afghanistan. I told the doctor to think I'm crazy. She told me the list of all topics, whether they felt they were related or not and send them back to her.

I started my list, tired, irritable, depressed legs, restless, can not sleep, muscle pain everywhere pain and joint swelling, headaches, temporomandibular joint (jaw pain), changing from constipation to diarrhea in the drop of a hat, irritable bladder, and I feel like I could fall asleep at any given time, although only the legs just stop jumping. I am very tired all the time. And I'm not crazy!

My daughter took the message sent by email to your friends to your doctor on the base. He examined it and sent me back a link to a website. Immediately I clicked the link and began reading. I'm sure I knew who wrote it. The page I described in detail. The link was the John Hopkins Hospital, and title at the top of the page to read; Fibromyalgia. Can not even explain how it felt to have confirmation that I was not crazy after all. I printed the page and took it to my family doctor.

Read through the symptoms and read my letter carefully giant. He confirmed. Fibromyalgia. He wrote me a referral to a rheumatologist. I finally had the slightest idea! I was as excited as a woman can be, not having had the dream recent weeks.

The rheumatologist could not see me for six weeks. I took the time to savor the idea that I was not crazy, after all, and to learn as much as I could about fibromyalgia.

After weeks of great anticipation I finally got to see this new doctor. He had the personality a rock, did not say much at all, and when he did condescending. He ran a lot of my blood tests confirmed the diagnosis of fibromyalgia, and wrote a lot recipes. "See you in a month," he said as he walked toward the door. I sat for a moment alone in a whirlwind of confusion, picked up my prescriptions, and left.

Honestly, I felt that I knew more about my condition before I saw him then I did when I left.

Ensuring that all medicines prescription made a huge hole in my statement, but I started taking all religiously. He wanted to "fix" the problem. I did sleep better for the first time long time. Even that was short lived.

I answered most of my questions through literature and Internet research. I some research in each of the nine different medications he was taking every day. Over the counter Aleve, Zoloft, Zyrtec (allergies), carbidopa and Lorezapam, to name a few. I was just impressed with the drugs he was with the doctor.

I had a name for my disease for more than a year. And I have a new doctor. He is able to answer questions and discuss with me some of the things I've read on the internet. He knows I'm not crazy. It has been a long and difficult the knowledge I have now. The symptoms have not changed much, but it is certainly easier to deal with it because I have the support of a physician decent. I'll get through this.

If you know without doubt that something is wrong, do not give up. Research your condition in one of the websites such as Johns Hopkins, or WebMD. They have a lot of information. Check out his suspicions and keep pushing. I know that the dose Fibromyalgia has no cure, but I know it's not I am the only one, and I know there are people working diligently on a cure. But do not give up.
