Trees play an important role in Taoist practice … They serve, first as a metaphor for the human body, awakening to its natural:

~ Feet open and alive, like the roots of a tree falling and the dissemination and life-force/nutrients drawing up;

~ Stem strong, liquid / heating in its core, like the trunk of a tree that contains the drawing and the sap up to nourish the branches and leaves;

~ Elongation of the extremities, like the branches of a tree;

~ The crown of the head bodies soft and receptive, meaning and spirit purified accelerated as beautiful flowers and delicious fruits of the trees in the spring and summer.

What also has been found ~ through the "research" Masters of martial arts and Taoist healing arts, and many generations of practitioners of Qigong ~ is that trees are really powered by "negative" energy of human beings. So when the practice of qigong by a tree, and in practice that the energies of liberation are harmful or constraint for us, the tree (which is our partner in practice) absorbs these energies as if they were, in itself, a form of food! The relationship is, by design, a being of mutual benefit.

When you are cultivating the ability to see the energy-bodies/auras of beings, the trees are a good place to start … Somehow their subtle bodies tend to be more visible in certain particular times of day (dawn and dusk) to the subtle bodies other forms of life. If you would like to try this out at dawn or dusk, when the sun has dropped below the horizon, or has not risen significantly, but still Hence a lot of light in the sky … choose a tree (pine are great for this) and then let the rest look on it very gently. Let your focus is diffuse, as I was doing a relaxed effort not only to see the whole tree, but at the same time to expand your peripheral vision. Or imagine that somehow you are able, and it will look good "through" the physical form of the tree. What you realize, finally, black gold is a "summary", which is the subtle body of his new friend, who is revealed to you.

Taoism presents also a variety of tree-hugging practices. And the same reason that organs of the trees' subtle are relatively easy to see (because they have the least healthy ~ ~ lots of energy!), which also are partners with big hugs, give you energy, balance your energy, and happily receive your energy. And if you do not have a real tree at hand, just imagining practice is almost as good … Stand with feet wide, and in parallel. Bend your knees slightly (feeling the back of the knees so soft and hollow), allowing your weight to descend fully into the feet, legs and pelvis. Then float the hands and elbows at the height of your heart, palms facing the torso, creating a vicious with their arms, with four or five inches between the gently spread the fingers of the left and right hands … as if made to hug a tree. And then imagine you are hugging that tree, and hug the tree as it is also becoming a tree feels its roots down, SAP is preparing up through the center of his torso, arms and legs lengthening, softening the crown to receive sunlight and the energy of the blue sky above you, your senses each clearer and brighter … Feel fruit blossoms, the course, becoming the meeting place of Heaven and Earth … How wonderful!
